1. Site operator
This website and the Glucogaze service are operated by a private individual under the name Glucogaze, based in Manchester, England.
Glucogaze is a non-commercial personal project. It is not a limited company, it is not run as a business, it sells nothing, and it has no VAT registration. General enquiries: legal@glucogaze.com.
2. Regulatory status
Glucogaze is not a medical device. It has not been assessed, certified, approved or registered by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), by any UK Approved Body or EU Notified Body, or by any other regulator, and it is not registered on any medical device register.
It is a consumer convenience display of data that originates in regulated devices and services operated by others. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate or prevent disease, and it is not intended to inform clinical decisions. The full position is on the Disclaimers page.
3. No affiliation or endorsement
Glucogaze is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by, sponsored by or in any way officially connected with Abbott Laboratories, Dexcom Inc., the Nightscout Foundation or the Nightscout open-source project, GeekMagic, or any other manufacturer, provider or organisation whose products it can display data from or run on.
Glucogaze reads data through unofficial interfaces that those organisations do not provide, support or control, and it may stop working at any time as a result. None of them has reviewed, approved or accepted any responsibility for this project.
4. Trademarks
“Glucogaze”, the Glucogaze logo and the Glucogaze device faces are marks of the individual who runs Glucogaze. You may not use them to identify your own products or services, or in any way that suggests we endorse or are connected with you.
All other names, logos and marks used on this site are the property of their respective owners, and are used solely to describe compatibility — a use commonly known as nominative fair use. In particular:
- FreeStyle, FreeStyle Libre, LibreLink, LibreLinkUp and LibreView are trademarks of Abbott Laboratories and its group companies.
- Dexcom, Dexcom Share and Dexcom Follow are trademarks of Dexcom, Inc.
- Nightscout and the CGM in the Cloud project are the work of the Nightscout community.
- GeekMagic and SmallTV are marks of their manufacturer.
- Google and Google Sign-In are trademarks of Google LLC; Cloudflare and Turnstile of Cloudflare, Inc.; Vercel of Vercel, Inc.; Supabase of Supabase, Inc.; and GitHub of GitHub, Inc.
No claim is made to any of these marks. If you own one of them and object to how it is used here, please contact us and we will address it promptly.
5. Open-source and third-party software
Glucogaze is built with open-source software, used under the terms of the respective licences. The principal components are:
- Next.js and React — MIT licence.
- Supabase client libraries — MIT licence.
- Font Awesome Free — icons under CC BY 4.0, code under MIT.
- Poppins — SIL Open Font Licence 1.1.
- Nayuki QR Code generator, used in the device firmware — MIT licence.
A complete list of dependencies and their licences is available on request from legal@glucogaze.com. Where a component’s licence conflicts with our Terms of Service, that licence prevails for that component.
6. Firmware
The Glucogaze firmware is published for you to install on hardware you own, at your own risk. It is provided free of charge and without warranty of any kind. It is not signed, certified or approved by any device manufacturer, and installing it will usually void your device’s warranty. See sections 7 and 9 of the Disclaimers.
7. Content on this site
Unless stated otherwise, the text, design, images and code of this site are ours or our licensors’. Information here is provided for general information only. We make reasonable efforts to keep it accurate but we do not warrant that it is complete, current or error-free, and we may change it without notice.
Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience. We do not control them, we do not endorse them, and we are not responsible for their content, accuracy or practices.

9. The documents that govern your use

- Terms of Service — the agreement between us, including liability.
- Privacy Policy — what we do with your personal data.
10. Governing law
This page and the documents above are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to the consumer protections described in section 23 of the Terms of Service.
